Enduring Activities
|
In addition, we develop many enduring activities. Enduring materials are often developed based on the content of live activities in order to provide high-quality content to a broader audience and provide for target audiences’ various learning style preferences.
|
- Monographs—typically 24 to 36 pages about 1 therapeutic topic with content and/or editorial reviews provided by national experts.
- Journal supplements—similar to monographs but with these significant differences: supplements are packaged and distributed with major medical journals and typically go through the journal’s peer-review process.
- CD-ROMs—typically provide 1 to 2 CME credits and are developed in an interactive format using content from the live program.
- Web-based activities—have been posted on numerous Web sites including ahecme.com, Medscape, and theheart.org.
- Archived audioconferences—similar to live audioconferences except that participants can dial into the audioconference any time 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the entire time frame that the audioconference is available, often 1 to 6 months. A live Q&A is not available in this format.
- Slide kits—PowerPoint presentations enhanced by speaker notes, references, and other instructional features and available as a certified activity, which can also be used in participants’ own future presentations.
