Information That You Voluntarily Provide
If you register to become a member of ahecme.com, you authorize us to collect personal information from you such as name, address, telephone number, specialty, therapeutic area interests, and e-mail address. We also capture your username and password choice to provide you with a secure method of retaining, accessing, and reusing your personal information on other AHECME Web sites or courses. We capture your e-mail and fax preferences in order to contact you regarding future programs offered by AHECME.

If you supply us with your e-mail address online, and explicitly agree to receive e-mails, you may receive periodic e-mails from us with information on new products and services or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such e-mails, you may opt out at the time of registration. If you choose to participate in an on-line activity, we retain the results of posttests, questionnaires, evaluations, and/or surveys in our databases.

You may use our site to ask questions or report problems regarding our online services. If you request information or report a problem, your information submitted will be used solely to provide you with the information requested.

Collection of Personal Information by Third-Party Vendors
AHECME may in some cases use third-party service providers to collect and process your registration, user preferences, posttest, and evaluation information for activities. AHECME maintains agreements with all third-party vendors that they follow the same policies as stated in our Privacy Policy regarding the use or sharing of personal data collected by their systems.

Information That Is Routinely Collected by Our Site Technology
When you visit our Web site, our Web server automatically recognizes only your domain name, and/or Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer (or visible network IP when behind a firewall). Capturing your IP/Network address does not identify you personally. We use this information to analyze site usage in order to better understand how members are using our site and to determine how we can improve it. We also capture other usage information, such as how you were referred to our site, number and times of visits and other information, which we use to improve our site.

Any voluntary information we collect from the user, including registration, posttest, evaluation or any other personally identifiable information, is not shared for any other purpose other than that for which it was intended, nor do we share it with any other third parties. This information is used by AHECME as part of our accreditation processes.

AHE may disclose your personal data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to either comply with a legal obligation, protect and defend the rights or property of AHECME, or to protect AHECME against legal liability.
